Welcome

We would like for you to know us individually as Christians (Acts 11:26; 1 Pet 4:16). As a congregation we are endeavoring to work together as the body of Jesus Christ under His direction as Head of the body, which is His church (Matt 16:18; Rom 16:16).  We believe as the Scriptures indicate, that Jesus is the Son of God and the only Lord and Savior of mankind (John 20:30-31; Acts 2:36-38).

What Is Our Objective?

Since God’s purpose for the church is that it be the “pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Tim 3:15), then our objective is to teach “the word of truth” and to give our greatest effort as Christians to live by the teachings of Christ Jesus (Eph 1:13; Matt 28:18-20; 2 John 1:9).

We resolve to follow the New Testament pattern, given by the apostles of Christ, for the organization, work and worship of the church (John 16:13; Phil 4:9). We want to be able to give New Testament Scripture for what we believe and practice.

Many do not give emphasis to the Bible as being God’s complete and final Word to man (2 Tim 3:16-17). The main-concern in many churches has shifted from the spiritual to the physical. This change in priority has resulted in the neglect of our most important need, i.e., preparing the soul to meet God in judgment (Mark 8:36-37; 2 Cor 5:10; Rev 20:12).

Christians are taught, “whatever you do in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Col 3:17). These words mean that Jesus and His apostles must authorize what we believe and practice.

We, therefore, strive to keep the will of God both in our lives and in our work together as a congregation.

In our assembly you will observe that we follow the same arrangement as New Testament churches did under the direction of the Lord’s apostles.

  • We sing “psalms, hymns and spiritual songs” together (Eph 5:19).
  • We teach from the Word of God (Acts 2:42; 2 Tim 3:16-17).
  • On the first day of the week (Sunday) we commemorate the death of Christ (Matt 26:26-29; Acts 20:7).
  • We contribute from our earnings and possessions for the advancement of the cause of Christ in the areas of evangelism, edification through teaching and benevolence (1 Cor 9:14; Eph 4:11-16; 1 Cor 16:1-2; 2 Cor 8:1-5).
  • In summary, we strive to maintain an orderly service together (1 Cor 14:40).

What Is Our Interest In You?

Our interest in you is related to the salvation of your soul.  We will do all we can to help you serve God faithfully. We are not interested in your money or material possessions. In fact, we do not solicit money from any visitor when the collection is taken on Sunday.
